Paddle with Manatees
Everglades Area Tours Logo

Departs: Jan, Feb, Mar, Apr, May, Jun, Jul, Aug, Sep, Oct, Nov, Dec,

Cost: $59 Adult - $44 kid

Length: 1.5 hours

Kayaking - Paddle with Manatees - FLThe Florida manatee inhabits coastal waters and rivers throughout the State. They can easily move between fresh, brackish and marine habitats and lives in many Florida waterways, including where we paddle! We can see manatees anywhere, anytime on our all our tours in the summer. But in cooler months, in order to stay warm, they seek warm water, deeper water that retains heat and helps keep the manatees to stabilize their body temperature.
We use a combination of single and tandem kayaks to view the "sea cows". Led by an experienced naturalist, we will paddle amongst a natural, wild population of manatees; close enough to view without disturbing these gentle creatures. We encounter manatees on most EVERY tour!

Bioluminescence Kayak Tour
Everglades Area Tours Logo

Departs: Jun, Jul, Aug, Sep, Oct,

Cost: $69 Adult - $44 kid

Length: 1.5 to 2 hours

Kayaking - Bioluminescence Kayak Tour - FLDuring the warm summer months the waters around Marco Island can come alive and glow! Fish, paddles, kayaks, even your hand moving through the water produces a splash of tiny fireworks that manifests as a bluegreen glow. Bioluminescence! Experience this phenomenon on dark moonless nights! In varying concentrations, the water hosts single-celled organisms called dinoflagellates that when disturbed, will emit light. In concentrations great enough, the water appears to glow blue-green. Typically, the summer warm water hosts greater concentrations and, hence, a brighter glow. The experience is awesome and a true "Must Do" while in Ft. Myers, Naples or Marco Island.

Cost: $799 .95/person

Length: 3 days

Kayaking - Everglades 3 day/ 2 Night Base Camp - FLA special transport boat is used to bring kayaks, guests and gear to a remote island beach where we establish a base camp. We make daily excursions to areas that few have experienced. The carrying capacity of the boat allows us to supply amenities to our guests such as sun showers, large coolers, camp chairs, etc. These trips are wonderful for those that wish to explore the Park; for those who feel "being there" is more important than "getting there". We can select campsites that are best suited for the forecasted weather and avoid crowded campsites. These trips are especially suited for those that enjoy kayak fishing. Of course, a sunrise and/or sunset paddle at the base camp should be part of the daily experience!
