Canoe Camping: Howl with the Wolves
Skill Level: Easy Departs: Aug, Cost: $1195 + tax Length: 5 days	The Boundary Waters Wilderness has been home to wolves since the retreat of the glaciers. From your campsites, you can still hear wolves lonely howls or catch a glimpse of one along the lakeshore or portage. We’ll start our week by studying captive wolves at the International Wolf Center and visit sites where wild wolves are known to rendezvous. Our canoe trip in the wilderness puts us in intimate contact with the wolves’ habitat, where signs of their presence are common. We’ll paddle through wild country where man is just a visitor. We’ll camp on lakes where visitors are rare and with some luck we’ll hear or maybe even see a wolf. If wolves fascinate you please call and join us in wolf country.

Autumn Colors & Wilderness Wildlife
Skill Level: Easy Departs: Sep, Oct, Cost: $1195 + tax Length: 6 days	Fall in the Boundary Waters means no bugs, fewer people, warm days, cool nights, and great vistas of saturated yellows, reds, and green. Travel the BWCAW during the quiet season and see the boreal forest in all its vibrant splendor. The colors start early in September with the maples and peak with the great forests of aspen and birch in late September and early October. These reds and yellows are all offset by the beautiful dark green of the balsam, spruce, and pine with a backdrop of incredibly blue sky. With wildlife on the move in fall, chances of seeing moose, bear, otter and beaver are optimal. With some luck the howl of the wolf will sing you to sleep.

Join us in canoe country for 6 days of nothing but fabulous fishing on wilderness lakes where the fish are hungry and never see a boat with a motor on it. We’ll fish several lakes from our remote destination and along the way. It’s bass fishing at its best but we’ll save some time to catch a walleye or two just for the fry pan. Let our two wilderness fishing guides do the work while you relax and enjoy everything wonderful about spring in the Boundary Waters.
