Downeast Maine and beyond
Skill Level: Intermediate Departs: Jul, Aug, Sep, Cost: $895 Length: 5 days	For the true adventurer, expedition paddling Downeast Maine and the Maritimes traverses the wildest shoreline on the Eastern Seaboard. We’ll need to work our seamanship with the stronger tidal currents, exposed headlands, longer daily paddles and frequent fog. Hundreds of islands await exploring along this untamed, rugged, rocky Downeast coast. This area is beyond the normal tourist services, and requires an open minded adventurer. We’ll paddle pass extensive seabird and conservancy preserves, sub-arctic flora, wild sheep, Arctic birds and untouched islands... this is kayak heaven for the adventurer. We often paddle point-to-point somewhere between Schoodic Penninsula and St John, NB. Group size 4-6 paddlers with NDK, Necky and VCP expedition grade sea kayaks. You definitely want ot have prior bumpy water experience and be comfortable with wilderness camping from a kayak. MIKCo has been journeying down here since 1986.

Intermediate Rough Water Symposium
Skill Level: Int. - Adv. Departs: Jun, Cost: $595-$650 Length: 3 Days	MIKCo and Nigel Dennis Kayaks invite you to the Northeast Intermediate Rough Water Symposium (RWS) based from Point Judith, RI from Thurs, June 10 to Sunday June 13, 2010. We are again based at Camp Fuller where we all can camp or bunk in cabins, have a post paddling shower, share great home cooked meals, listen to evening presentations all while we build our paddling skills and community. We have access to two tides this June with livelier seas and long days. Nigel Dennis will bring a pile of his strong Pro Paddlers, and the Fishers Race Team will be in full force to supply your safety and comfort. Our emphasis remains on Tidal Races, Rock Gardens and Surfing for the Intermediate with lots of Greenland Paddling, Incident Management, Core Paddling and more focused BCU Leadership Trainings.
