We rent canoe and kayaks and help paddlers plan multi-day trips in Northwestern Alberta, such as on the Peace River, Upper Hay River, Chinchaga River, Wabasca River, Hay-Zama Lake, etc. Paddle to the Northwest Territories or Wood Buffalo National Park. This is wilderness paddling at its best! Class I – III water, backcountry camping, quiet nights, wildlife, and beautiful scenery. Being this far north, you get long summer days, slow sunsets, and very few people. Every rental includes basic safety equipment, and multi-day rentals include maps and a SPOT GPS. Hay-Zama Lake Ecosystem
Departs: Jun, Jul, Aug, Sep, Length: variable Not Guided	Canoe or kayak in the unique ecosystem of the Hay-Zama Wildland Lakes Provincial Park. This park is an Important Bird Area, and was designated a Ramsar Wetland of International Importance in 1982. It is located at the intersection of three flyways: the Pacific, Central, and Mississippi. Hundreds of thousands of ducks, geese, gulls, eagles and other birds use this area for moulting, staging, migrating, and nesting. You may have the opportunity to see Wood Bison which were reintroduced to this area in 1984, where they have thrived on the abundant grasses. The Hay River flows through this wetland, with low grassy banks or flooded banks, depending on water levels. We offer canoe and kayak rentals along with a transportation service to this unique area.

Paddle the Historic Peace River
Departs: May, Jun, Jul, Aug, Sep, Length: 8-10 Days Not Guided	Follow the route of Sir Alexander Mackenzie, one of Canada's historic explorers who, with a 9-person crew, became the first to reach the Pacific over land in 1793. On this Peace River expedition, you'll kayak downstream from the town of Peace River over 400 km to the hamlet of Fort Vermilion. You'll stay at a beautiful Bed & Breakfast the night before your trip starts, and another one at the end. You can choose the 8-day trip or the 10-day trip, depending on how much you want to paddle each day. Package includes SPOT GPS tracker.
