Remote fly-in canoe trip on a pristine tundra river in the heart of the Barren Lands of Canada's Northwest Territories. Paddle this gin-clear river hundreds of miles away from the nearest road or community. Teeming wildlife including caribou(good chance of seeing tens of thousands), muskoxen, white wolves(our specialty), moose, grizzlies and rich birdlife including peregrines, gyrfalcons, geese, swans, loons and eagles. Excellent fishing for lake trout and grayling. Warm, dry, sun-drenched summers, 24-hour daylight, green tundra hills, spectacular spruce-studded eskers, sand beaches and enormous skies. Guided by Alex Hall, wildlife biologist and the Canadian Arctic's first and most experienced canoeing guide. Operating since 1974. |
