Accommodating up to 6 people, the Overnight Escape will offer the participants a relaxing 2 - 2 1/2 hour paddle, with instruction, to the camp area. No need to worry about cooking or pitching your tent, it’s already done! Sit back and enjoy the campfire. The next morning, breakfast is ready, with an easy paddle back to the Village of Fairport.

Explore The Erie Canal

Schedule a self-guided excursion; we'll supply you with boats, paddles, PFDs, tent/s, sleeping bags, camp light and camp stove. Go for a short overnight or a week-long paddle. Erie Canal Boat Company will work with you to make sure you have what you need to go the distance and have fun doing it. Float Plans, and Check Lists. Maps of camp site locations are all available, and we'll check on you progress during the trip.

Canoers and kayakers alike appreciate the pleasures of flat water - it enables the participant a more contemplative view of wildlife in its natural habitat. Villages dot the canal every 8-10 miles with lots of amenities, with always plenty to do. Rent by the hour or the day.
