The two day trip includes transport to and from the fjords, sea kayaking and camping in Rudyerd Bay and the hike to Punchbowl Lake. All the hard work is done by our fun and friendly guides all you have to do is show up ready to experience one of Alaska's most amazing places. Orcas Cove

In just four hours you can escape civilization and really experience Alaska kayaking with small groups, friendly guides and top quality equipment. Orcas Cove is a unique wilderness location with beautiful scenery and interesting shoreline for kayakers to explore. Eagles, seals, sea Lions, mink, river otters, humpback whales, Dall's porpoises and orcas all frequent the area. A snack of Alaska's finest smoked salmon on board our mother-ship is the perfect end to a great paddle. We meet on the cruise ship dock for this trip and travel by boat to Orcas Cove. Explorer Kayak/Hike Combo Trip
Departs: May, Jun, Jul, Aug, Sep, Cost: $239 Length: 6.5 hours	For experienced kayakers, independent travelers and anyone who wants to get off the beaten path, this trip combines kayaking at Orcas Cove with hiking the Black Mountain trail which is accessible only by boat. We paddle from our mother-ship to the trailhead in Icehouse Cove, leave our kayaks above the tide line and head up the trail. This is genuine Alaskan hiking: the terrain is steep, slippery and muddy but the journey through old growth forest and muskegs is fascinating. We eat lunch on the trail then head back down for some more paddling time before we return to town by boat. For the combination trip we meet in downtown Ketchikan and travel by boat to Orcas Cove. We provide Alaskan Xtra Tuff boots, rain gear and dry bags.
