7 Day Allagash River Trip
Skill Level: Beg. - Adv. Departs: Jun, Jul, Aug, Sep, Cost: $695 Length: 7 days	We begin our week-long trip at Indian Stream and paddle north nearly 100 miles. It is a trip of great variety, we travel lakes, rapids, and meandering quietwater. Challenging Chase Rapids teaches you to read whitewater and will test paddling skills you've practiced along the way. We explore sites of early logging activity like the Tramway, hike to an expansive view of the Maine Woods from an old fire tower. Campsites are primitive and beautiful, and we try to allow plenty of time for relaxing, swimming, exploring, especially at magnificent Allagash Falls. Wildlife is abundant along the river and moose sighting are frequent in the summer months. The Allagash trip is suitable for all levels and ages, and is ideal for families and friends.

The St John is the longest and wildest free-flowing river left in the eastern U.S., the upper St John is flanked by woodland rich in wildlife and native history. Our May trip is usually bug-free and full of the first signs of spring. Let our guides do all the cooking; fresh Maine blueberry muffins, banana bread, hearty dinners, fresh salads and desserts!

5 Day West Branch Penobscot River

Departs: May, Jun, Jul, Aug, Sep, Cost: $525 Length: 5 days	The scenic upper West Branch of the Penobscot River Trip from Lobster Lake to Chesuncook Lake makes an ideal first canoe-camping experience, and an excellent family trip. Moose sightings are usually plentiful as we paddle this gentle river, following part of Threau's canoe route into the Maine woods. Several miles of class l "rips" provide an introduction to river-reading. Campsites are primitive and beautiful. Chesuncook Lake with it's view of Mt. Katahdin and a visit to historic Chesuncook Village, is one of our favorite places to camp, swim, explore, and pick berries. Let our guides do all the cooking, we serve hearty dinners, bake yeast rolls, banana bread, serve Maine wild blueberry pancakes, and hearty desserts. Open to all ability levels.
