This is our most popular trip with people often choosing to paddle an easy four hours ending at Denny's Dam in Southampton. Pack your own lunch and catch the 8am, 10am, noon or 2 pm shuttle van leaving Denny's Dam. With your rental canoe or kayak on board, our shuttle drivers will transport you and your equipment upstream to a predetermined put in, based on the number of hours you would like to paddle. When you arrive back at your destination your car is waiting for you. At that point you lock up your boat and return paddles, pfd's and throw bags to our Southampton Thorncrest Outfitters Location and notify them that you are back.

Lyal Island Circumnavigation
Skill Level: beg/int. 17+ Departs: Jun, Jul, Aug, Cost: $124.99 Length: 1 day	A great trip for both novice and experienced paddlers taking groups around the interesting Lake Huron waters surrounding Lyal Island. Sights to see include the smaller islands of Dane and Knife Island, the possibility of seeing some historical shipwrecks and viewing the lighthouses found on the many islands. The juxtaposed new and old lighthouses on Knife Island are particularly impressive, making this a very rich experience. The trip will begin with your guide covering some essential paddling skills to acclimate you to your boat and then sets off for a safe journey around Lyal Island with a rest and lunch (included) on the Island itself.
