Tonsina Point Kayak & Hike Combo

Our day will include a paddle along the coastline and hiking through a temperate rain forest. Our day begins at our Lowell Point gear shed where we meet and check in by 8:50 am. After outfitting and kayak instruction paddle the shoreline of Lowell Point State Recreation Site. Grand Day Tour

This is the trip for you! Holgate Glacier receives less visitation then Aialik Glacier from tour boats and other kayaking companies making it a more remote experience for Sunny Cove paddlers. We often see whales, Orca, harbor seals, Steller sea lions, tufted and horned puffin and many other sea birds. As we kayak through 'bergy bits' and blue-green see water, we'll bring you as close as 1/2 mile from towering Holgate Glacier. Crackling ice, tidewater glaciers and wildlife encounters will bedazzle your senses. This excursion includes lunch and snacks.

Lowell Point, Alaska 3-hour Tours
Departs: May, Jun, Jul, Aug, Sep, Cost: $65/person Length: 3 hours	Experience the beauty of Resurrection Bay, its abundant marine life and beautiful glacial vistas on this Seward kayaking excursion from Lowell Point. On this trip we commonly encounter sea otters, sea birds, bald eagles and leaping salmon. In late summer, if the tide is right, we may paddle our kayaks a short way up Tonsina Creek to see hundreds of spawning salmon. If our tide is low we'll beach our kayaks to take a short stroll through the temperate rain forest of Tonsina Point.
