Many of the loggerhead sea turtles (Caretta caretta) in Greece are located in this area. With a little bit of luck you might been able to see dolphins while paddling too. A visit to the famous Spinalonga island is also included in this trip. The island was subsequently used as a leper colony from 1903 to 1957. It is notable for being one of the last active leper colonies in Europe. The last inhabitant, a priest, left the island in 1962. Warm water (up to 28°C during the summer), lovely beaches for swimming and snorkeling will guarantee a wonderful trip.
