Summary: I purchased this Earl 6 board along with a Baron 4 after paddling the Baron at a ACK Demo event. I loved the Baron and thought I would give this one a try event though I expected it might be a little tippy. Well, I was right..for flatwater, it is a little tippy BUT a whole lot of fun. The 6 stands for 6 inches of thickness rather than anything about the length (something that confused me at first) and that's what I really like about this one over the Baron. It's quick to inflate and deflate (and because it's thicker, it isn't as important that I fully inflate it as it is for the Baron), smooth to paddle on flatwater once you get into a groove and so so much fun to play around in. I've enjoyed playing in the power boat waves of our central Texas flat water quite a bit on this board and am too the point where I no longer expect to fall if one catches me off guard. Eventually I'll take it to some whitewater and have some real fun.
Pros: Thickness, Glide on the Water
Cons: Inflation Not Easy Unless You Invest In Bravo Pump! Another $150 expenditure!
Usage: Recreation, exercise, play!
