Reviews for BOTE HD by BOTE Boards

Summary: I paddled the Bote 12.6 HD Classic displacement hull SUP on a small lake with winds at 12/G 18 knots. The stability and tracking across all quadrants was on point. The deck tie down and angler mounts were clean and convenient. I especially enjoyed the cup holder feature integrated into the board. At 6' and 230lbs the board handled well and was surprisingly quick. The recommended maximum weight of 350 lbs allowed for plenty of kit for either touring our fishing to be added with out hampering the stability or overall performance of the SUP. Really enjoyed the design and factory finish.
Pros: Stability, tracking and deck layout
Cons: Expensive for entry level paddler that wants to tour or fish
Usage: Touring and SUP Angling

Summary: This is my first SUP and it is great. I love to fish and when I saw the Bote HD with the rod rack and cooler I knew I had to have it. Very stable in smooth water or chop my Bote gets me in to some real skinny water to find that trophy Snook,Redfish or Gator trout. A wide stable fishing platform with the displacement hull provides a nice ride and the Sea Deck foam pad makes for less fatigue and more comfort. This Bote Rocks
Cons: Awkward to carry.
Usage: Fishing, touring, exercising

Summary: I'm 240 lbs, haven't used it to fish but needed something faster. I'm able to keep up with an older friend on a race board for most paddling. Much better going into waves than a flat board, more stable than most flat boards too!
Pros: Stability, speed, looks, (get lots of compliments) space to put life jacket and things!
Cons: I have the aqua color which I love but when it scratches, I haven't found a good touch up color!
Usage: Exercise touring
