Summary: Fantastic all around board. I even fish on it. Very stable (i am 220) it is crazybsuper fast if you want to race. It is easy to turn. It is light. About 30. It can handle rolling waves. But off course no surf.

Summary: The Boardworks Raven 12'6" SUP is a great, stable board. I'm a novice paddler but feel confident paddling on both my knees and standing up - in calm and choppy lake water mostly. Love the gear straps on the front and for easy life preserver storage. This board is large enough for 1 paddler, but can also be used for 2 paddlers, paddler + dog, or paddler + passenger (my boyfriend often swims long-distance and hitches a lift when he's tired). The board is a quite large (but that's the trade for stability) and stands a few inches above the water (it's a 6" thick board). For the smaller paddler, it might be tough to transport, but at only 30 lbs, it is manageable for most. I am on the small side and will stick to launch sites that are within a few minutes of parking. I do wish the traction pad was a bit softer for times that I am kneeling or resting.

Pros: Design, Size, Stability, Lightweight, Storage Strap, Bamboo Look
Cons: Traction pad a bit rough when kneeling
Usage: Touring, Exercise, Yoga

Summary: The Raven is an all-around fantastic touring/fitness board. It rides even better than it looks. This stable board is easy to get up to speed, tracks like a dream, and is relatively maneuverable for its size. This is a perfect board for someone who wants to tour, train, and dabble in racing.

Pros: Gorgeous board! The Northwestern motif is out of this world. Super stable and forgiving, paddles like a Cadillac.
Cons: It's a bit heavy, but it at least has a nice handle for carrying.
Usage: Touring and exercise with a bit of racing

Summary: At 12'6" and 30" wide with a recessed deck and 6" thick this board is stable, BUT it really will move right along as well. 4 tie down points in front help to carry gear and a very comfortable deck pad is great on your feet after a lond day paddling. Lastly this board is a real eye catcher with its wood/bamboo deck and native graphics.

Pros: Very stable, good glide, good tracking, great looking.
Cons: None
Usage: Touring, exercise, fishing
