Frontenac Outfitters Canoe & Kayak Centre has been successfully introducing people to the world of kayaking since 1984. We offer a wide range of Paddle canada certified and non-certified Kayak Courses, Clinics & Paddle Days to satisfy paddlers of all ages and experience levels. Our courses are designed to develop the connection between the paddler and their kayak to create a discovery learning experience. The sheltered, warm waters of our own beautiful Pearkes Lake provide the perfect on-site location to refine your techniques. Our Paddlesports Centre's massive selection of boats, quality paddling gear and available campsites enhance your time with us.
Larry & Christine Showler (the businesses owners) are certified instructors with Paddle Canada, Recognized Nation Wide, and teach all Frontenac Outfitters Courses. With an emphasis on safety they will share their experiences, knowledge and love for kayaking in a relaxed, enjoyable environment.

- GPS / Geocaching Course
Provides you with the skills and resources to get-out-there and find Ontario's treasures! Competent GPS and map reading is also an invaluable asset while sea kayak tripping and exploring. Your instructor is one of Ontario's 1st Certified Trainers for Geocaching.
- Private Kayak Skills Coaching
Take advantage of our expertise to give you positive constructive feedback and skills analysis to help you achieve your kayaking goals in a one-on-one setting.
- Beginner Kayak Courses
Our "Getting Started Course" focuses on kayaking's basic kayak terminologies, paddling techniques, rescues and safety aspects.

Frontenac Outfitters Skills Courses are all about learning and refining more aggressive kayaking skills, safety and recovery techniques
- Certified Kayak Courses
Frontenac Outfitters Certified Kayak Courses are registered by Paddle Canada, recognized nation wide, and are specifically designed to enable paddlers to attain a number of predetermined skill requirements.
