Send It, Whitewater
We offer three unique 2-day programs designed to cater to all levels of whitewater kayaker. We also offer ACA certified swift water rescue courses, week long camping and paddling adventures, ACA skills assessments, and 3-day overnight self-supported kayaking expeditions. Or you can customize your own program.
1-2 Day Programs
Our whitewater instructional programs are designed for the novice through expert paddler. Typically, days are between 6 and 8 hours, include shuttle, a gourmet river lunch, and the option to demo one of our state of the art LiquidLogic kayaks. Overnight accommodations can be arranged at the Wilderness Edge Campground, the home base of Send It, Whitewater.
- The River Runner 2 Days.
The River Runner is perfect for those who have previously received both formal and/or informal whitewater kayak instruction. Send It, Whitewater will help you to improve everything from catching eddies, rolling, surfing and ferrying to planning your next river. Participants will receive expert coaching with personalized attention, and leave with the skills to pursue the sport independently. Course will take place on grade II-III whitewater based on flow levels and season.
- The Sender 2 Days.
The Sender is for the experienced whitewater kayaker who can actively navigate their kayak and execute a reliable Eskimo roll in up to grade III whitewater. We will coach you on dynamic techniques to improve your current river running skills, while fostering a deeper understanding of river morphology, group safety and personal limits. Course will take place on up to grade III+/IV whitewater based on flow levels and season. This course can be customized for high volume river running, technical low volume, or both!
- The Steep Creeker 2 Days.
This course is for the advanced whitewater kayaker who wants to improve their overall creeking abilities. Practice the most up to date dynamic techniques while running slides, boofing, and catching all the eddies! We will also focus on river reading, scouting in and out of the boat, and risk management considerations. Participants must have documented class IV experience prior to taking this course.
ACA Skills Assessment
This is an excellent resources for clubs, college programs, and individuals seeking benchmarks in their skill development, and a fun day or 2 on the water with personalized attention. Upon successful completion of each Skills Assessment checklist, SIW will submit the paperwork and you will receive official documentation of your level of skill from the ACA National Office.
- Safety and Rescue 1 Day.
For the whitewater kayaker/canoer/rafter who paddles comfortably on up to grade III whitewater, with clubs, or who are aspirant in stepping up their whitewater knowledge base. Learn rope techniques, swimming in rapids, rescue technique, group management and communications skills crucial to any whitewater environment
- Advanced Safety and Rescue 2 Day.
For the whitewater kayaker/canoer/rafter who paddles comfortably on up to grade IV whitewater, are looking to become guides and or instructors, and those that wish to reduce risk in the hardest whitewater envrionements. Rope techniques, mechanical haul systems, live bait, and rescue theory, practiced in live conditions. A must for any paddler regularly running class IV and harder.
Send It, Whitewater offers custom whitewater coaching and guiding for the individual, group and educational institution. Share your goals and ideas and we can help you achieve them. Rates will be based upon our daily partcipant cost, plus any travel and or accomodations. We are flexible and ready to serve your needs for whitewater adventure.
