A Perfect Paddling Destination
Imagine a place with miles and miles of protected pink granite islands surrounded by deep blue water perfect for kayaking; then, just a few miles away a pristine park with white quartz mountains and hundreds of crystal clear lakes, creating an ideal canoeing destination. That is what you will find at the Killarney Mountain Lodge located in Killarney Ontario. The lodge is on the entrance to the Georgian Bay, a great kayaking and sailing destination and Killarney Provincial Park is located just up the road with incredible canoeing and backcountry hiking opportunities.
If you love the outdoors but the idea of four nights in a tent doesn't get you too excited, this is a great trip for you. We enjoyed great kayaking, canoeing, sailing and hiking during the day and then returned back to Killarney Mountain Lodge each night for incredible meals, live entertainment and comfortable cabins.
The highlight of the trip was certainly the Gourmet Kayak & Cruise which featured impressive paddling and an incredible gourmet lunch prepared over an open fire.
Brian Van Drie, co-founder of Paddling.net was joined by his wife Kara on a four day trip that featured great adventures, incredible food and wonderful people.
