Description:
I always wanted to Kayak Lake Thonotosassa. It is Hillsborough County’s largest lake. The put in was at the Lake Thonotosassa boat ramp on Knights-Griffin Road. I was surprised at the boat traffic and jet skis, which made kayaking rather difficult. However in spite of the waves and powerboats, Lake Thonotosassa made a very nice paddle. Many beautiful homes dot the lakefront.

The park and ramp are very nice.

Lake Thonotosassa can be reached at the Thonotosassa boat ramp on Knights-Griffin Road. Lake Thonotosassa is in east Tampa.
