Report Type: Day Trip Report
Trip Dates: June 2002
Nearest City: Warwick, RI
Difficulty: Moderate

Description:

Quiet river with lots of wildlife including geese, otters, and snapping turtles. You can only go from dam to dam (or bridge to bridge ). This river follows the highway (295 & 95) lots of bridges to go under and streams feed into river to explore. The farther you go up stream the stronger the current and the shallower it gets, this is when it gets difficult. Lots of rocks and fallen bridges to go around. You can only paddle up to the waterfall then coast back...the entire length is about 2-3 hours depending on your ability

Directions:

95 south to exit 12 b...ramp splits left and right...go left onto 113...follow to route 2 north to 1st light...go into sears parking lot....95 north to exit 11-295 north to exit 1 to 113 to route 2 north..park/launch behind sears automotive...this is not the easiest place to lauch..the only one that i found..from sears..takes about 1-2 hours no matter which way you go...to go to bridge's/dam..and back to sears..
