With some abnormally wet weather for this time of year, the creek was running nicely at about 600 CFS/4 feet on the Grimm's Bridge gauge.
This section of creek is mostly secluded and lined by trees and rock bluffs. The first couple of miles are more interesting, with more gradient and bends. The only obstacle of note is a runnable concrete dam structure about 4 miles into the trip. There are 2 openings in the dam that are easily runnable at this level.
