We had to portage around a log dam about 90 minutes into the trip.
We saw several Red-Tailed Hawks, a deer (doe) try to cross the river ahead of us, and several geese and duck with their little ones trying to keep up behind them.
We arrived at the bridge at Highway 1 just south or Hwy 124 in Bluffton, IN (around 1:43)
The weather was sunny with clear skies and 72 degrees by the end of the trip.
Overall, a nice quiet paddle through mostly Indiana farmland. If you go, be Ready for a shallow (6"-18"), slow-moving river.
Bluffton has the a few hotels and the best Chinese Restaurant (Coco China) and The best Pizza in the area (Tyger's Pizza)
Bluffton (End)- From Fort Wayne, IN
South on US Hwy 1, Turn East on US Hwy 124 (just before the bridge) immediately turn right on a stone drive which leads to the river pick-up.
