Locust Lake State Park is operated by the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR). The park offers ranger sponsored activities for all ages. This is a great location for a family summer vacation.

The lake is small, only 52 acres, but it is an excellent location for beginner boaters of all ages. It's small size makes it less intimidating.

Peruse the DCNR website for complete details.

I recommend also taking a "joy ride" to the surrounding small mining town communities
