The launch site is at the water pumping station.
On one side of the lake is Canobie Lake Park, a small, well maintained amusement park. I enjoy paddling out and watching the park activities from the water.
The lake is home to a pair of Loons. You will often see them diving for fish in the middle of the lake.
Most of the lake is fairly shallow although the center is quite deep. The water is very clear with 5 - 6 feet of visibility.
The far end of the lake has a small marsh and a loon sanctuary. There is also a small marsh with water lilies across the lake from the launch area.
You will see Canada Geese, Ducks, Cormorants and possibly Loons.
