Description:
We put in at the spillway when we get heavy heavy rain, and wait for them to open the gates from the Ross Barnett Reservoir. The current gets REALLY strong.
We walk down about 100 yards from the gate and put our kayaks in. ONLY SKILLED PADDLERS should do this. We travel down river about a mile and turn around and travel through the flooded woods, which is only a little current on the way back so its not that hard to paddle upstream. It takes about 2 hours to complete this event.
Fees:
none
