Description:
Put in at a public ramp on Hwy 588, floated 7 miles to a public ramp on Hwy 590. This stretch of river is very nice, I recommend it.
The gauge for Leaf River at Hattiesburg, MS was at 1.53'. The water level was good for our trip but we all agreed if it had been any lower it would have been too much work. We scrapped the bottom of the canoes a couple of times but was a great trip.
