The river was about 25% below median flow and the wind was directly out of the south so we had to paddle the better part of 10 hours each day to make the 20 miles. Day three had less wind and made for an easier day.
We ended in Terre Haute, IN at the park south of the county seat building. In the future we will not make this a three day trip unless the water is higher to move faster. We didn't need to drag the canoe or kayaks at all, but our fishing time was limited due to the need to make the 20 miles each day.
The silver carp may startle you from time to time as they like to jump over your boat. We saw many Bald Eagles!
Once we finished our trip we drove the car to retrieve the van and then back to Terre Haute to pick up the gear and head home.
