Description:
Leaf River - from Hwy 490 to Church St (Eastabutchie)
This is a ~13 mile stretch of the Leaf River that combines quiet stretches of slow moving water with 8-10 small soapstone rapids, the largest a 2-3' drop. We put out at the boat launch on Hwy 590 between Ellisville and Seminary and paddled for 6 hours to the boat landing in Eastabutchie.

Public boat launch at either end.

Directions:
From I-59N from Hattiesburg or south from Laurel get off on the HWY 590 exit just south of Ellisville. Go west on 590, access road to boat ramp is on East side of bridge.
