Brasheers Creek - Kayak Trip / Canoe Trip

Report Type: Day Trip Report
Trip Dates: April 19, 2012
Nearest City: Madison, MS
Difficulty: Moderate/Difficult

Description:

It's a little creek that runs through the middle of Madison. It is best to go after a heavy rainfall. If there hasn't been rain for a while, it will be impossible to go down.

We start out in the back soccer fields of Liberty Park by Wal-mart, and we take out once you get to the 4 bridge. There are 4 sets of rapids you will go down the second being the most difficult only seasoned kayakers should attempt. You can take out and walk around though.

The whole trip takes about 45 minutes to complete. It's great fun and me and my friends do any time we get a chance.

Accommodations:

N/A

Fees:

None

Directions:

Get off the Madison exit and take a right. Then take first right.then take 3rd left into liberty park.go to second stop sign and take a right. Go to the end and park. There will be a bridge in front of you. You can put in there.
