Trip can only be done when water is high. Class 1 and 2 rapids- beware of a collapsed road that created a dam and then a bit of a waterfall (good times though!). Trip took about 5 hours- with only 1 stop.
Plenty of waterfowl - blue heron, kingfishers, ducks, geese. Saw a beaver as well. Beautiful scenery- and some not so beautiful.
You supposedly need a permit to use the Ten Mile Creek Boat Launch-didn't know until afterwards. If you fish and kayak, this would be a great creek to do it on.
This is only for a spring trip - water levels need to be high to be able to make it down successfully. Go after good rain.
We had to have someone pick us up at Ten Mile County Park and shuttle the cars. To reach Ten Mile County Park, take 88N through Carmichaels. Green Cove Marina will be on right (at bottom of a hill), cross bridge and go left. Go about 100 yards, turn left into park.
