When I got into the river, it was a smooth ride since the river was pretty high. No real issues since it was so high too. The entire ride was a peaceful and quiet break.
Passed under an unused railroad bridge north of Hwy 16. It was a pretty neat site. After that, you'll pass the bridge at 16 and another in-use railroad bridge. Shortly after that, I passed Yates power plant which has a "rapid" by the wastegate. Shoot it straight through the middle and paddle hard and you'll have no issues.
The ideal takeout is at McIntosh Reserve. It's closed right now due to the floods last year. I ended up taking out on the Coweta County (left) side of the river at Bob Brewster Rd which is just north of McIntosh.
Overall its a great ride. Overall the float took around 3 hours but would be an easy stretch to 4 or 5 if you wanted to relax a little more.
