The creek can be hard to navigate because of log jams so you have to get out of your kayaks at times and we also had to push our way through the brush once which was an interesting experience. Once we got to the Sandusky river the travel became easier because on this part of the river it is slow and lazy, although you have to watch out for boats in this area.
We ended our trip at the Bel-mar tavern where they have a boat ramp and if you want to stop in they also have cool refreshments. The only wildlife we really saw on this trip were various types of birds, but that's probably because we were talking to loud to see anything else but if you left early enough I would imagine you could see other wildlife like deer because we did see some crossing spots with lots of tracks.
