Description:
Friday afternoon myself and a friend launched our boats at 5:15 and had a wonderful 2 hour float on the Flint River. We started at Hays Preserve, off hwy 431, and ended at Old Big Cove Rd.
The water was swift but not dangerous, there are lots of little shoots coming off the main river and they all meet back up before the takeout and paddling these is always fun.
At the takeout location a shuttle from North Alabama Canoe & Kayak was waiting on us, For a 20$ fee ,$10 each, we were safely returned to our vehicle.
