A CA state park that is accessible by boat only. Beautiful underground springs and numerous ancient Indian fish traps. Abundant wildlife/waterfowl.

Uncrowded due to remoteness. Abundant water passages to explore. There is primitive camping at the state park. Mosquitoes abundant mid summer. Can be windy.

Primitive boat camping in the aprk. Otherwise need to find a motel in Fall River Mills or campground at Burney Falls State Park near Burney, CA. Also, RV park at Fairground in McArthur.

Hwy 299E from Redding, CA. Approx 1 1/2 hrs to town of McArthur. Turn Left to "Rat Farm" behind Fairgrounds. Go approx. 4 miles to parking area.

Ahjumawi State Park brochure available at US Forest Service office in Fall River Mills.
