Report Type: Day Trip Report
Trip Dates: October 26, 2008
Nearest City: Olney, MD
Difficulty: Easy

Gorgeous warm fall afternoon, light wind, (with some gusts)and a moderate amount of boaters and anglers on the water mid to late afternoon.

Water level down significantly from late summer and as recently as 2 weeks ago. Estimate is 8-10 feet below normal water level (driest October in 8 years!)

Porta potty, ample parking off of Route 650 (New Hampshire Ave)

WSSC Water shed permit available at Brighton Dam Visitor's Center.

North of Route 108 (about 5 miles) off of Route 650 (New Hampshire Ave).

Recommend getting map at visitor's center, since geography is quite similar once on the water.
