Lake Blalock - Kayak Trip / Canoe Trip
Day Trip Report

I got there at approximately 10:30am on Sunday Morning. There were a few boat trailers in the parking lot when I got there. Other than that I saw no one while getting in the water.
This is an easy paddle with exceptions to the speeding pontoons and fishing boats that pass you on occasion. Not a lot to see either, unless you enjoy looking into people's back yards as I saw very little undeveloped land along the 35 miles of shore. I paddled for approximately an hour and a half before getting bored and returning to the ramp.
Access to water: 5 out of 5
Accommodations and Facilities: 5 out of 5
Scenery: 2 out of 5
Overall Rating: 2 out of 5
Would I paddle it again? Maybe, if I had nothing else to do. I prefer Croft State Park or Lake Cooley any day.
Safe, secure parking, Public Restrooms, Vending machine, Easy access to the Boat ramp (shared by larger boats).
Take Hwy 221 just off of I-85. Turn left on Fosters Grove Rd. Then Right on Sany Ford Road.
