We landed on the bay side side of the beach (41° 19.209'N, 72° 2.754'W) about 1.3 miles later. We carried our kayaks the short distance over the dune to the ocean side (about 25 yards) and spent a couple hours letting the kids play in the water. There were a few jelly fish, but they were easy to see. There were also some biting, green flies that eventually drove us away.
For the return trip we put in on the ocean side since the surf was so calm. The tide was heading out, so we had to fight a bit of current around the point. There was some very shallow break water (41° 19.143'N, 72° 3.010'W) that probably isn't passable at low tide, but we made it over with a few inches beneath us.
It's a very pleasant, but small, beach, free of noise, trash, or PWCs.
