Anyhow... we put in here under the bridge and first went upstream a ways. After a little while of fishing and paddling we ran out of water. The grass and lily pads were so tall that there was no where to go. So we went back down river and after about 200 yards we came upon a fallen tree. We pulled the canoe's over and... well what do you know... the water ran out again.
Instead of calling our float off we decided to push through the grass and lily pads now. So we did, the river opened for about 10 feet then grass again. After we pushed our way through grass for about 30 minutes we decided to stop and turn around. When pushing through the grass the water was still deep but the grass was just grown all through it. In many places the water was over 3' deep. But eventually it ran out. We caught only 1 fish the whole time here.
So next we went to our planned take out point to 603. We put in here. Again the water was muddy but we caught a good amount of fish. We caught bass, bream, pike, and a grinnel. We seen many needle nose gar but was unable to set the hook on any of them. Here we were able to paddle quite a ways but crossed many trees.
