You may visit a map of the paddle trail here:
We put in at the Henry McAllister landing between US 258 and Gum Branch Rd. The water level is very low but we were able to paddle a good way up river before it got too shallow to paddle (we chose not to go any further although it did appear to open up again). We then went back down river.
There are many limestone rock formations along the bank, a variety of trees and some wildlife (birds, otters, turtles, squirrel). Most of all there was plenty of peace and quiet and a very quick getaway.
