Description:

We hit the wood river the last weekend of July.....

Great day on the water. We put in at Rt 165 and paddled down to Babersville Dam. Stopped on the bank for some fishing and to fire up the grill...

This river isn't that hard to paddle but there can be a lot of portaging (which equaled hey lets jump in). We found the 16 footer did much better then the 12 footer (canoes)...

Accommodations:

Decent parking

Fees:

none

Directions:

Arcadia State Park Rt 165 off Rt 3
