Point Nipigon - Lake Michigan - Kayak Trip / Canoe Trip

Description:
Off from Point Nipigon, in Lake Michigan, there are three shipwrecks that one can see from a kayak. I found these from my Garmin GPS at first and then I read up on them. They are the Henry Clay, Albemarle, and the J.H. Outhwaite (I believe).
They are only in 10 to 30 feet of water, so if it is a calm day it is not an issue to find them as the first two are only about 300-400 feet apart and the other is about a quarter mile from those. I suggest getting GPS coordinates.
I went twice to see these - the first time it was calm and I had my GPS - I had no problem finding the wrecks. The second time it was quite rough and I did not have my GPS - we did not see them that time.
Accommodations:
There is one rest stop about 2 miles away and then an excellent campground, Mill Creek Campgrounds, and then Mackinaw City (about 9 miles one way though)
Directions:
Find an access point along US 23 depending on how far you want to paddle. You will have to start north of the point and paddle down to it.
