Weogufka Creek - Kayak Trip / Canoe Trip

Report Type: Day Trip Report
Trip Dates: May 25, 2007
Nearest City: Weogufka, AL
Difficulty: Difficult

Description:

We put in about 2 pass Weogufka Creek bridge towards Mt. Moriah. We knew the water was going to be low because of the lack of water but the difficulty came for all the fallen trees in the water. It took us 1.5 hours to go approx. 1/4 mile. After pulling the canoes over 6-7 trees and looking downstream at all the other barriers we stopped at an adjoining pasture and walked out. The water could have been 2 feet higher and we would have had to get out of the canoe several times.

Fees:

No

Directions:
