Description:
Deam Lake is a man made lake in Clark State Forest. It was a very easy paddle even in the wind. Fishing and swimming and rental boats are there for your use. The campground was the loudest I have ever stayed at due to all the kids and dogs. I tried to ride my bike on their "bike trail" and found it overgrown, with a lot of deadfall to hike over. The bike trail should T into the Knobstone trail and it can be ridden. There is also a trailhead for Knobstone outside of the park. The lake itself was great. I can't catch a fish to save my life but I enjoyed several hours of trying. It had a nice quiet backwater section with a beaver dam holding back a feeding stream. I hope for improvements in the trail network as I will go back in the fall when it's maybe not as busy.
