Here is a great day trip for those in the Greenville South Carolina area.
Lake John Robinson in Greenville County is a 2,250 acre man-made lake on the South Tyger River operated by Greer Commission of Public Works. Public access is provided by a public boat ramp and fishing pier. Put in is a J. Verne Smith park.
We spent about 3 hours paddling to back of the lake from the city park. Nice view of mountains to North. Lake has a 10 hp engine size so very little boat traffic, a few fishermen. We saw lots of geese, blue heron and ducks.
