Visited Watauga Lake in Butler TN. Borders the Cherokee National Forest. 3rd Cleaniest Lake in the United States. Group of 10 stayed at a rental cabin located at the lake. Just hopped in the canoes and paddled to the mountains on the other side of the lake and we on the Watauga River paddling through the Cherokeee National Forest!! Best trip ever!! Most scenic I have ever seen in TN or on the east coast. Saw lots of wildlife, otters, even saw a badger! Fished for Walleye and we caught about 15 in a 3 day period.

The cabin was soooo cooolll!!! Loved this place and will be going back! Al I need was my clothes and food. they had everything, equipt kitch, HOT TUB!!! washer dryer, they even supply the washing detergent! was a little pricy but was worth it, the Cherokee National Forest is RIGHT THERE!!

Northeast Tennessee, near hwy 321, about 15 miles from the NC border. Boone, NC was about 40 mins south on 321.

Check out the web site that's the place we stayed and they have a lot of links on there web site for the area.
