There are currently four mini guides for your reading enjoyment. We hope to add many more such guides in the future. If you have a suggestion for our next guide, please send it to: places@paddling.net and we will consider adding such a guide. Enjoy!
Idaho Rivers
Idaho offers over 3,000 miles of rivers with whitewater to experience. Chances are you can find the perfect spot for a great river trip. Choose from white-knuckled roller-coaster rides to dreamy drifts through cottonwood trees. Select from rubber rafts, kayaks, canoes or jet boats. Outfitted trips range from a few hours to several days. Idaho's premier rivers include the Salmon, Payette, Lochsa and more.
Paddling Ontario
From gently floating the rivers of Southern Ontario's Heartland to the rugged landscape of the Canadian Boundary Waters: from the inland coasts of the Great Lakes to the frontiers of Caribou and Polar Bear Country; the mystery of Temagami, the rush of the Ottawa's whitewater, and Algonquin's haunting calls.
Boundary Waters Canoe Area:
The Boundary Waters Canoe Area is located in Northern Minnesota. Combined with Quetico Provincial Park (Canada) it accounts for over 2,000 lakes, countless rivers and streams, and some of the most pristine wilderness North America has to offer. This area has been a Mecca for canoeists for decades.
The Adirondacks:
The Adirondack North Country. It's both a state of mind and a place on the map. If you're looking for a getaway that's accessible yet wild, that's beautiful in any season, and that can deliver everything from big lakes to beaver ponds, and from lazy rivers to some of the most challenging whitewater in the East, then paddle up to New York's great inland island. You won't be sorry you did.
