How-to Video: Entering a Kayak & Attaching Sprayskirt
In this video Mike Aronoff looks at how to put on a sprayskirt and how to attach the sprayskirt properly to the kayak. The video continues with demonstrations of the proper technique to get into a kayak - both from shallow water, where you can straddle the boat, and also from a deeper shoreline where straddling may not be possible.

Canoe Dam Ram Fail
Dam Ram Fail Here's some good old-fashioned entertainment! Watch what happens when two canoers try to skip a short portage and attempt to ride over a beaver dam. In The Same Boat: Candied Ginger
If you suffer from seasickness, you're in good company: Admiral Lord Nelson had trouble keeping his breakfast down during hard blows off Cadiz. But you don't have to turn a blind eye to your misery. You can do something about it. The secret? Candied ginger. And you can make it yourself. This week, in her latest column for In the Same Boat, Tamia shows you how. She thinks the stuff is "Mal de Marvelous," and she bets you will, too. (But be sure to get your doctor's OK first.)

Kayak Photo Product Review Spotlight
Delta 15.5 Expedition kayak by Delta Kayaks
I absolutely love my 15.5 Expedition. It is everything I was looking for in a kayak. Tracks well, stable, handles waves and windy conditions really well and best of all it hauls a ton of gear... Whether it is rivers, small streams or open lakes it handles them all and gives me the confidence to take on more. At 54 lbs. it easy to load and unload and makes portages a little less daunting. At age 59, this is a good thing... Rating 10 of 10 by Blaine M.
