Flint River who might be of help. He would help start you just above the Pine Mountain eminences, and you would then have a 14 mile paddle to Spewrell Bluff State Park, with an additional 5 miles to hwy 36. As I recall, you have to check in by 8:30 AM at the outfitter to get started.

There are a lot of simple ledges on the Flint, but nearly all are low. They're usually runnable in the spring. In a dry summer, they're not. Remember that the SE is experiencing a drought right now.

There are unofficial camping possibilities as you pass through the Pine Mountain "chain", and you can camp at Spewrell Bluff even though they are semi-closed by the GA economic situation.

Don't plan on going past hwy 36 as there is a long class 3 section called Yellow Jacket Shoals.

I'll try to remember to check back, or you can email me through the pnet system.
