Has anyone run (canoed) the Lower Canyon recently? I have a few questions about camping (US side only???) and location of springs.

Well i am answering my own posting, just got back from running Boquillas Canyon and the lower canyons of the Rio Grande. No! we did not need a machine gun or AK 47 for self defense. It was a wonderful trip with some spectacular scenery. We did the trip leisurely in eleven days with tow layover days. Low water level and heat ere our biggest challenges.
