Forecast looks pretty nice with the exception of rain chances Monday. My crew will be at Waymeyer around 9:30 Saturday morning to set shuttle. From there we'll head to Two Rivers to rig and launch. I know nothing about the reach below Two Rivers except what I've heard and read. We'll of course camp on gravel bars Saturday and Sunday nights. Wood will be burned and lies will be told. Pete can attest to the fact that we don't get in a hurry to get on or down the river, but I think the pace worked out fine when he joined us in December (largely because he graciously accomodated our laziness, but I digress). If you find you can make it we'll be honored for you to join us. Post here and/or email me for further info etc.

  Wish I Could, But....

....I'll be at work. The lower current tends to be wider, but a lot of nice bluffs and scenery. This time of the year you'll see few jet boats, but summertime that's not true. I rarely stray below Powder Mill or Blue Spring just below there, though. Starts to get wide and fairly slow pools at times. You WILL see a lot of eagles. I pretty much guarantee a few near the Two Rivers and the Owl's Bend accesses in the trees on river right. About 3/4 mile past the Hwy 106 bridge look for the access and spring branch for Blue Spring on river left. Well worth the short walk. Here's a few pics to give you some idea:

Looks as if the weather will be nice. But my wife is leaving this morning for a week to Chicago and I will have our dogs. It is still a bit too cold to take the little guys out for several days.
  Thanks guys.

Sorry y'all can't make it, but I appreciate the pics. My daughter decided last night she's in so I'm really excited now. She rolls with me all the time, but this will be her first float camping excursion. Should be a great one.

She should enjoy all the eagles you'll see on this stretch. Once this winter, Dan and I saw as many as eight at once and we never was out of eyesight of at least a couple.

How are the little guys holding up this winter? Still their happy selves I hope.

pretty well. Look a bit shaggy with their winter coats. I think they are ready for spring.
  I'll look forward to seeing
