I am fairly new to kayaking but I can hold my own. I have my own kayak and want to get out there! Problem is, none of my friends kayak.

We'll be planning some trips down there|

Some friends and I that flat water kayak are looking at some trips to the Savannah/Tybee area. Maybe further south. I went to SCAD (Longer ago than I want to remember!) and Savannah has always been a second home.

I live in Dublin, GA. I'm always down for a yak trip, I am still fairly new as well, but have a little experiance. Nothing intercoastal though just flatwater and some whitewater (North GA). I've been wanting to get my friends together and plan a little tybee island kayaking/camping trip.
That's where we are planning|

@KayakKido - We were just talking about a camping/paddling trip to Tybee... maybe in late September, early October. After the summer crowds, but while it's still nice weather.

The Ogeechee is always a good paddle when the water level returns to normal.

I have recently taken up kayaking as well and am fairly close to Savannah! I'm down for getting out on the water just about anytime!
You might want too...|

... sign up for this October's Sea Kayak Georgia Symposium on Tybee Island. You will meet a bunch of kayakers and most likely have a great time.
